This Privacy Policy explains how Revin Chat ("Revin", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our messaging application and related services (the "App").

Information We Collect

To provide the App's features, we collect:

• Account information: phone number, name, email (if provided), and profile photo
• Device information: device model, operating system, IP address, and push notification tokens
• Content you send: messages, images, videos, voice notes, documents, and stickers sent through chats, groups, and broadcasts
• Location, only when you explicitly choose to share it in a chat
• Usage information such as message delivery/read status and call logs (voice and video calls)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Operate core chat, voice call, and video call features
• Deliver push notifications for new messages and calls
• Maintain your contacts, chats, groups, and broadcast lists
• Detect abuse, enforce our terms, and respond to user reports
• Improve reliability and performance of the App

Permissions We Request

Depending on the features you use, the App may request access to:

• Storage/Photos: to send and save media shared in chats
• Microphone: to send voice messages and make voice/video calls
• Camera: to capture photos, videos, and stories to share
• Location: only to share your location in a chat, at your request
• Contacts: to help you find people you know who already use Revin
• Notifications: to alert you to new messages and calls

None of these permissions are required to install the App, and each can be managed from your device settings.

Data Storage and Third-Party Services

Chat data and account information are stored on servers we operate, backed by MongoDB Atlas. To provide reliable calling and notifications, we rely on the following third-party processors, who only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function:

• Agora - real-time transport for voice and video calls
• Firebase Cloud Messaging and OneSignal - delivering push notifications

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

Data Retention and Your Choices

Your messages and media are retained so you can access your chat history across sessions and devices. You may delete individual messages, chats, or your entire account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data from our active systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Children's Privacy

Revin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. See our Child Safety Standards page for more information on how we protect younger users.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted network transport (HTTPS/TLS), to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
